Every industry is subject to its own set of acronyms and Rotary really excels at it with a truly amazing array of its own. Sometimes we forget that new members don’t know what we are talking about, so here are a few of the main ones that may help next time someone mentions the DG or the PDG or a PHF. Rotaract – January 2010

Laura Bird, our Rotex Student has been working like mad over the last month or so to contact people to start up a Rotaract Club in our area.  So far, she has about 15 people interested and is well on the way to us needing to organise the Chartering of the Nepean Group Rotaract Club sponsored by the Rotary Club of Frankston Long Island. Our congratulations to Laura – she really is one in a million! Rotaract is an international program for adults ages 18 to 30 who want to make a difference. Conference Update

An update from the District Governor Jan 09 Over 600 registrations have been received for the District Conference to be held over the last weekend in February. The Committee and I are looking forward to welcoming you to Sale and to providing a good program and opportunities to meet old friends and to make new ones. If you haven’t registered yet there is still time. As we move into the second half of the Rotary year I encourage all Rotarians to focus on the plans and objectives set at the beginning of the year.
