President’s Report 14th December 2010
Well summer may have finally arrived which means the view from Frankston LSC on Thursday mornings is fantastic. We had an interesting talk from Nicole Stainsby one of Frankston’s Emerging Athletes about her participation in swimming, water polo and Lifesaving. Nicole was very enthusiastic and I am sure puts a 110% effort into anything she does. This week’s meeting should be entertaining with Janet, Judy, Allan and Ross returning from their trip to Cambodia with the schoolies there should be a few tales to tell. From the reports I have received it was a great trip enjoyed by all and plans are already underway for next year. Thank you all for your efforts at the Bunning Sausage Sizzle last Sunday. In November the club inducted three new members Alex Stosic, Kath Luty and Anne Lane. Also in November Allan Gamble was presented with a PHF sapphire pin for his 45 years of service to Rotary and his commitment to Club activities. Regretfully due to personal reasons Allan has moved to the Rotary Club of Mt Eliza. However I am sure we will see Allan at some future Club events. On 20th November Club members and friends of Rotary were involved in the sausage sizzle at the Mornington Races to raise money for Aimee Carter’s Ghana Project. The sizzle raised $4,000. The 21st November saw the departure of Janet McCahon, Ross Bird and Judy and Allan Rebecca...
